Head of Business Development Emerging Markets

We're looking for a Head of Business Development who will be responsible for strategic development of Emerging Markets: China, India, South Korea.

In our fund, we have gathered people who know how to conquer one of the most competitive markets. Experts with 10+ years of experience in HFT and senior developers from unicorn companies work on ultra low-latency infrastructure, while trading algorithms are created and tested by winners of international mathematics and programming competitions.

As a Department Lead, you will work directly with the CEO on the development and execution of our overall growth strategy, empowered by analytical support, vast resources of the company, and almost unlimited freedom in decision-making. What you’ll be in charge of:

  • Developing and driving execution of the company’s business development strategy;
  • Proactively identifying and creating opportunities to enhance our team’s current performance;
  • Gathering your own team of A-players capable of achieving extraordinary results;
  • Building and managing a diverse network of counterparties (brokers, exchanges, equipment providers, etc.), achieving the best possible terms for any partnership;
  • Gathering market intelligence and a deep understanding of our business that enables you to foresee, evaluate and lead potential ventures from the perspective of effort vs benefit;
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders within the team on progress toward business goals;
  • Being an owner of the whole project life cycle, from research and goal setting to KPI measurement and reporting.

What we expect from you:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the financial industry (trading firms, exchanges, brokers, etc.);
  • HFT and/or Technical and/or Economic background will be a plus;
  • Flawless spoken and written English is a must; Chinese/Hindi/Korean of a mother tongue level is highly required;
  • Proven track of achieving extraordinary results and strong negotiating expertise in one of our target markets: China, India, South Korea.
  • Hands-on management style and experience of full-cycle project management leading a team of 3+ business developers;
  • Strategic thinking and ability to judge even your own ideas with a cool-head;
  • A know-how entrepreneurial mindset, passion for challenge, and a strong habit of putting business interests first.
